My introduction
I'm a computer science undergrad really into all things tech. I've got a knack for figuring things out and solving problems, and I'm pretty good at getting along with teams. I've dabbled in software development, human-computer interaction (HCI), and data analysis, especially with machine learning. I've also got some real-world experience with AI, Embedded Systems and Project Management. I'm comfortable working on my own and I'm known for doing quality work. Right now, I'm looking to grow my career in tech and see where I can take my skills next.

Experience
University of Glasgow - School of Computing Science
September 2024 - PresentI work as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Glasgow, I help teach undergraduate students by leading tutorials, supporting practical work, and marking and providing feedback on assignments to help students improve. I helped create teaching materials, supported course administration, and worked with academic staff to keep the teaching content and methods up to date. I also answered student questions, solved problems, and made sure classes ran smoothly. This role improved my communication, organisation, and teaching skills while allowing me to share my subject knowledge with students.

Glasgow University Software Service
March 2024 - February 2026I work at Glasgow University Software Service (GUSS) as a Software Engineer, I worked on the Cadence circuit optimization project, where I refactored MATLAB-based analogue circuit tuning codes into production-ready Python modules integrated with the Cadence design library. This involved developing optimization algorithms and implementing machine learning techniques to build and train neural networks for constraint-based circuit parameter tuning. I created comprehensive test cases to validate the efficiency of the optimization process and collaborated in peer coding sessions and thorough code reviews to maintain performance and reliability. The work bridged MATLAB, Python (NumPy, PyTorch), and the Cadence library, ensuring seamless translation of research prototypes into production-level solutions for electronic design automation workflows.

Barclays
June 2025 - August 2025I completed my Summer Internship at Barclays, As a Technology Analyst Intern at Barclays, I was part of the risk and controls team, where I supported work across five different risk horizontals. I created a detailed list of annual supplier contractual obligation waivers, helping the team gain full visibility of all outstanding risk exceptions. I reviewed the sub-limited risk JIRA portfolio to assess the status of ongoing work, checked the completion of remediation activities, and identified risks requiring escalation. A key part of my role was analyzing sub-limited Cyber waiver tickets and raising them to limited risk status in ORAC so they could be properly tracked, monitored, and reported for senior management oversight. To improve efficiency, I also automated a mapping system that linked all Standard and Horizontal Owners to their respective risk areas and responsibilities, reducing manual effort and minimizing errors in reporting. This work required close collaboration with different teams, clear communication, and strong attention to detail while using tools such as Jira, ORAC, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Teams to manage risk data, automate processes, and streamline reporting workflows.

GU Orbit
September 2022 - August 2025I lead the Software team as the Head Software Engineer at GU Orbit a student-led society at the University of Glasgow, with an aim to become the first student society to launch a satellite into space. As part of the Cloudview Balloon Launch mission, worked on the Python scripts and interfaced BMP180 sensors to Rasberry Pi with i2c connection. We successfully completed the CloudView balloon launch, the trip lasted 3 hours and sent back large amounts of data. I also developed the prototype of the processing pipeline to be deployed on an aerial testing platform for the Astraeus-01 satellite mission, which will be a 4 year Low Earth Orbit CubeSat mission, this mission will briefly consist of sending this small satellite into a Sun Synchronous Orbit. Finally we also successfully published a paper on AI-Based Wildfire Risk Assessment from Low-Cost Multispectral Data, which was showcased at the 75th International Astronautical Federation.

National Manufacturing Institute Scotland
May 2024 - June 2025At NMIS, I worked as a Software Engineer Intern. I worked as part of the CTO team to develop an AI-powered Carbon Accounting Tool designed to simplify and automate carbon accounting processes. The system reads, extracts, and classifies invoice data for comprehensive carbon analysis, fully aligned with the GHG Protocol and covering all Scope 3 emissions categories. It also includes an advanced reporting module capable of generating category-based emissions reports, helping businesses adopt more transparent and sustainable practices. Alongside this, I contributed to the Manufacturing Energy Toolkit (MET) Project, which provides detailed analytics on energy consumption, idle time, cost analysis, load imbalance, and variable-based scenario comparisons across manufacturing machines. I implemented features for parameter-based analysis, extrapolation of energy usage, and report-making modules with visual dashboards to identify inefficiencies and forecast energy and cost metrics at scale.

loopsio
February 2024 - April 2024Worked as a backend developed at loopsio. I worked with a team of 5 to develop an AI-driven module app to interpret business queries for the University of Strathclyde. This app utilized conversational AI, to reduce manual intervention by staff in the enquiry handling process. The technologies that I used to develop this app are: Python, Django, OpenAI API, Git.
